Monty G. Gordon age 57 of Joplin, Missouri passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born on September 20, 1962 to Bernarr Gordon, Sr. and Claudia (Cassady) Gordon in Webb City, Missouri.
Monty was a volunteer fire fighter for Oronogo, Missouri for many years. He loved spending time with his grandkids, living life to the fullest, and fighting fires with the fire department.
Monty married Kim (Eck) Gordon on February 28, 2008 in Webb City and she survives him at the home.
He is also survived by his children, Lourisha Smith and husband Derek of Carterville, Gregory Gordon of Webb City, Elizabeth Shere of Joplin, Kara Bidwell and husband James of Pittsburg, Kansas, Mariah House and husband Jodey of Neosho, Kyle Gordon and wife Chelsea of Joplin, Ariel Chew of Joinville, Brazil; 34 grandchildren; sister, Rosalee Mitchell and husband Charles of Mt. Orab, Ohio; brothers, Bernarr Gordon, Jr. and wife Sue of Joplin, and Tony Gordon and wife Sheila of Ada, Oklahoma.
Monty has been taken for cremation and the family will announce memorial services at a later date.
