(From Simpson Funeral Home)Beulah Marie Dyer age 89 passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin. She was born in St. Joseph, Missouri to Warren Sollars and Edith (Beattie) Sollars on February 16, 1931.
Beulah owned her own beauty shop for many years in Kansas, and also worked at the historic Muehlebach Hotel in in downtown Kansas City, where she did President Ford’s wife’s hair while they were staying at the hotel during his presidential campaign in the 70’s.
She loved to collect cookbooks, and was also a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Webb City.
Beulah married Donald Dyer on February 17, 1975 in Las Vegas and he survives her.
She is also survived by her sons, Ervin Langan and wife LeeAnn of Oronogo, Missouri, Bernie Langan of Atchison, Kansas; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Beulah was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Langan. Beulah's wishes were to be cremated and the family will have services in Clearwater, Kansas at Webb - Shinkle Mortuary at a later date.
