(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Kenneth Alan Nading, age 65 of Oswego, passed away at 8:00 PM on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Pittsburg Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Kenneth was born in Artesia, CA on February 11, 1955 to Harold “Leroy” Nading and Joy Barnes. He lived in Mound Valley, KS for many years before moving to Parsons in 1992, and then to Oswego in 2002. He worked as a truck driver for various local and national freight lines.
With so many hours on the road, when he was able to be home he loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and racing Nitros RC Cars with his boys. In his younger years, he enjoyed completing woodworking projects with his dad.
He was united in marriage with Janice Wright on June 22, 1992 in Bartlesville, OK. She preceded him in death September 13, 2018.
He was also preceded in death by his mother, Joy Smith; step-father, Fletcher Smith; one son, Anthony Nading; and father-in-law, Raymond Wright.
Survivors include four sons, Jeremy Nading of the State of Wyoming, Jonathan Nading (wife, Jessica) of Broken Arrow, OK, Levi Nading of Oswego, and Mikie Nading of Oswego; his father, Leroy Nading of the State of Missouri; one stepson, Brian James of Joplin, MO; two brothers; two sisters; his mother-in-law, Pam Wright; his brother-in-law, Russell Wright; and seven grandchildren.
Mr. Nading was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home for cremation. The family will be holding a memorial graveside service at Oswego Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed at www.derfeltfuneralhomes.com.
