Lou Etta Frederick

Lou Etta Frederick, 87, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020, after a brief illness.

Lou Etta was born March 10, 1933, in Diamond, Missouri, to the late John and Grace (Stansberry) Heckmaster. She was a 1951 graduate of Diamond High School. 

On July 24, 1968, Lou Etta was married to Byron Frederick and together they shared nearly 50 years of marriage before his passing on July 5, 2018.








Lou Etta enjoyed traveling with Byron, sometimes via motorcycle through the Southwest U.S. before they settled back in Diamond, Missouri, in their later years. Most recently, Lou Etta lived at Village on the Park (Rogers, Arkansas), where she made many new friends and enjoyed bible studies.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lou Etta was preceded in death by her son, Gene Fitzwater.

Survivors include a son, Bryan (Pam) Fitzwater, of Campbell, California, a daughter, Cheryl Fitzwater, of Tuscon, Arizona, and a niece, Lori (Mike) Brown, of Springdale, Arkansas.

Per Lou Etta’s wishes, no formal services will be held and her ashes will be privately placed at the Fayetteville National Cemetery next to her husband, Byron. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
