(From Simpson Funeral Home)Martin “Marty” Eugene Williams, 84, of Carl Junction, MO passed away on December 6, 2020.
Marty was born in Bluejacket, Oklahoma on September 16, 1936 to Leonard and Anne Williams. Marty grew up in northeast Oklahoma where he met the love of her life, Linda, and went on to be married for 62 wonderful years.
Marty worked as a manager in the grocery store business for his entire career. Marty was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending his days at Roaring River.
Marty had a green thumb and loved working in the yard. He even won yard of the month one summer. He loved sitting in his rocking chair and cheering on his OU sooners and Dallas cowboys. Marty was an amazing cook and loved spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Marty is survived by his son, Marty Wayne Williams, daughter, Cara Fletcher, grandson, Dereck Williams with Carla, granddaughter, Courtney Derryberry and husband Jonathon, granddaughter Cassie Jurek and husband Alex, and five beautiful great grandchildren. Marty was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and wife.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 2pm at the Carl Junction Cemetery Pavilion with Robert Kean officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. Visit www.simpsonfh.com for online condolences.
