Prayer Yvonne Arlene Waddell, age 17, of Joplin passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 in Joplin.

Prayer was born on March 19, 2004, in Oklahoma. She attended school and was currently a Senior at Joplin High School. She loved music, dogs, and being with her friends. She loved fiercely, hated injustice, and was brave in defending those close to her. She was a loving and devoted big sister to her siblings.

 

Survivors include her parents, Johnathan Waddell, of Kansas and Falecia Waddell, of Joplin; siblings, Caydence Sparks, Braelynn Scott, Bella Scott, Braxton Waddell, Jayson Waddell, and Skyler Hawkins, all of Joplin; grandparents, Sue and Daniel Hoffman, of WI, Carrie and Charles Helser, of Joplin, David Waddell, of KS, and Joyce Wright, also of KS; an uncle, Michael Waddell, of Joplin; her aunt, Cammi Wilkins, of Joplin; many cousins; and numerous extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

Celebration of Life for Prayer Yvonne Arlene Waddell, age 17, of Joplin will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Parker Mortuary in Joplin with visitation to follow.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
