(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Wallace Ray West, 74 was born on December 22, 1947 in Joplin Missouri and passed away on Saturday, January 8th, 2022 at home, surrounded by his family.
He graduated from Webb City High School in 1965 and was a member of the National Guard. He worked as a C&C machinist at Eagle Picher for 53 years before retiring in 2020.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Bae West and mother Francis Marie Zeltner and is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rebecca Sue West and four children, Korey and wife Natalie West of Blue Springs, Mo; Bryan West & Patty Overman of Joplin, Mo; Jeremy West of Joplin, Mo and Jennifer and husband Jacob Eggerman of Webb City, Mo.
He also leaves behind a sister, Peggy Bae and husband Max Page as well as well as four grand-children and one great grand-child. Wally loved spending time with his family, fishing and restoring classic cars. Although no formal services will be held, the family suggests making donations to the charity of your choice, in lieu of flowers.
