(From Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home)Carolyn Sue Neely, 75, Wyandotte, Ok passed into eternal rest May 7, 2022 at her home in Wyandotte after a long illness.
Carolyn Sue Dodson was born January 2, 1947 in Joplin, MO the daughter of John D. Dodson and Kathryn L. Pierce. Sue, as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, was a lifelong area resident. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Sue was one of the first women on the Wyandotte Volunteer Fire Department. She loved to fish, crochet and cook for her family and friends.
She formerly worked at the Turtle Stop in Wyandotte, a cook for the Wyandotte Nation Turtle Tots and she cleaned the Wyandotte First Baptist church where she was a member for over 50 years.
Carolyn Sue Dodson married William (Bill) Neely June 7, 1959 in Seneca, MO and he preceded her in death December 23, 2009 after 48 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents John D. and Kathryn L. Dodson, her sister Cathy Morris; brother-in-law Randy Watson and brother-in-law Darrell Morris and sister-in-law Diane Dodson.
Survivors include one daughter Melissa Davis and husband Rick, Wyandotte, OK; two granddaughters, Jessica Davis, Seneca and Nicole Davis, Wyandotte; one great-grandson, Dakota Huston; siblings; Richard Dodson and Glenda, Carthage, MO, Linda Watson and Don, Ozark, MO, Larry Dodson and wife Becky, Seneca, MO, Janet Watson, Neosho, MO, John Dodson and wife Linda, Hastings, NE, Michael Dodson, Joplin, MO, Daniel Dodson and wife Susan, Joplin, MO and Misty Tosh and husband Daniel, Goodman, MO; and a host of extend family and friends.
The body has been taken for cremation under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 11:00 am, May 12, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Wyandotte, OK.
