(From Clark Funeral Home)Gary Wayne Pearman, age 79, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away at 2:12 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born July 20, 1942, in Neosho to the late Vincent and Helen (Macy) Pearman.
Gary graduated from Neosho High School in 1960. He graduated from Pittsburg State University in 1964 with degrees in business and marketing. Furthering his education, Gary obtained his real-estate and broker’s license in the 1970s.
Gary had a long career in sales. He started with Swift and Company and then worked for Burroughs Office Equipment, Razor West, a distributor of Snapper Mowers, and eventually purchased Blue Ribbon Real Estate in 1986. He owned and operated Blue Ribbon Real Estate for approximately 30 years.
During this time, Gary raised cattle and enjoyed trading and selling real estate, cattle, and land. He later partnered with Bob Lasswell Auction Services selling many properties in the area at auctions.
His philanthropic services were endless. He served a number of terms on the Newton-McDonald County Board of Realtors and was active on the state level. He was also involved with the Missouri Business Week, raising funds for scholarships. He served on the board of the Talkington Foundation, was a member of the Neosho Chamber of Commerce, NABIFI Neosho, and was a former Neosho Rotarian.

Gary served on the Neosho Land Development Inc. Board of Directors for a number of years, promoting job growth and economic development for the betterment of the Neosho area. Gary will be remembered for helping young people and promoting education among the youth.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Lucy (Arwood) Pearman, of the home; one son, Greg Pearman; one daughter, Janna Jacobs, three stepchildren; Sheila, Jeff, and Dustin Estes; two sisters, Darlene Wolfinbarger and Diane McNeill and her husband, Gary; one brother, Larry Pearman and his wife, Julie; grandchildren, Addison and Grant Pearman; Connor, Kacy, and Rachel Jacobs; step-grandchildren, Holli and Chris Lewis, Andrew and Cody Thompson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, his brother-in-law, Jim Wolfinbarger, also preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2022, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, with burial following at King Cemetery in Neosho. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022, in the funeral home.
In addition to his parents, his brother-in-law, Jim Wolfinbarger, also preceded him in death.
