Jim Rupert

James “Jim” Arthur Rupert, Sr., age 81, Carl Junction, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Communities of Wildwood.

Jim was born February 2, 1941 in East Palestine, Ohio, son of the late Glenn “Toot” Rupert and Mary (Flick) Rupert.






 

Jim married the love of his life, Jacqulynn “Jackie” Sitler in Columbiana, Ohio on June 18, 1962. Together they were blessed with 60 years before his passing. 

James and Jackie have been members of the Carl Junction community since 1992. He worked as a District Executive for the Boys Scouts of America in the Joplin area as well as in Ohio and Kansas. James also worked at Rockhurst College in Kansas City as an advisor for the American Humanics program. 

 He was a member of the Carl Junction Christian Church, Rotary Club, and the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). He was a family man first. Jim’s passion was hunting, fishing and woodwork. After retiring from the BSA, Jim followed his passion, and with Jackie they started a small wood working business and attended craft shows. He was a good Christian man, husband, and father.

Jim is survived by his wife, Jackie Rupert; three sons, James Rupert Jr., John Rupert (Susan), and Joel Rupert (Svetlana); five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, William Rupert (Joan).

The family will receive friends and family for a time of visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Parker Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with Adam Jones officiating in Parker Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care of Parker Mortuary.
