(From Clark Funeral Home)Troy J. Coburn was born July 16, 1933, in Granby, Missouri, one of three sons to Lawrence and Wilma (Judd) Coburn. He entered into rest at the home of his daughter on May 12, 2022, at the age of 88.
Troy was a lifelong area resident and graduate of Granby High School. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, and his home port was in Long Beach, California, where he was dispatched on a hospital ship as a radio man.
Following his honorable discharge, he returned to Granby and worked at Teledyne / Premier Turbines, as a mechanical technician until his retirement. Troy enjoyed spending time with his family and family barbecues, being with friends, the outdoors and fishing.
On April 5, 1953, in Huntsville, Arkansas, Troy and Shirley (Davis) were united in marriage and she preceded him in death on May 5, 2015.
He is survived by three daughters, Beverly Granger and husband, Randy, Kathy Graue and husband, Ronnie, and Terri Coburn; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter, Copelynn Troy Stipp.
Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at 10 am the Granby Memorial Cemetery, Pastor Doug Gripka will officiate.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kameron Stipp, Jackson Schriever, Chad Granger, Harley Schriever, Kevin Rooney, and Carter Graue. Honorary pallbearers are Everett Bussey, Kyle Coburn, Drew Granger, Austin Hansford, Justin Graue and Tim Coburn.
