(From Ozark Funeral Home)Toni Marie Sewell Kilgore, 87, of Neosho, Missouri, went home to join our Lord and other beloved family members in Heaven on the morning of Tuesday, May 17th, 2022.
She was born in Orlando, Florida, on January 20th, 1935, to the late Marjorie Watson and Charles ‘Chic’ Sewell. At seven years old, she moved to San Francisco, California, where she resided until 1954.
After other stints of living in Missouri; a return to Orlando, Florida; and several years of living in Pittsburg, Kansas, she settled in Missouri.
She held many job titles throughout her life, including beautician, waitress, factory worker, and cook. Her hobbies included sitting down to read long novels, watching movies, crocheting, playing computer games, and visiting with her family members and friends over coffee.
Toni was preceded in death by a daughter, Caprice Land Stark; a son, James Land; her parents; and two brothers, Wilbur ‘Bud’ Erwin and John Watson.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sandra Powell, of Pittsburg, Kansas; Kimberly Rhodes, and husband Robert, of Neosho, Missouri; her son, Charles Land, and wife Pam, of Anderson, Missouri; three sisters, Laura Virginia, and husband George, of Pittsfield, Illinois; Charlotte Sewell, and Sylvia Sewell; and her brother, Scott Sewell. She has 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great-grandchildren, along with many other family members and friends that will miss the presence of her warm, welcoming smile.
