(From Brenner Mortuary)Wanda J. Madl, 89, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away on May 24, 2022, at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas. She was a resident of Pittsburg the majority of her life.
Wanda was born on May 16, 1933 to Lester Ewan and Dorothy (McClelland) Ewan in St. Paul, Kansas. She married Robert Madl on May14, 1955 at St. Michael's Church in Girard, Kansas.
Wanda worked at Holiday Lanes in Pittsburg, Kansas for over 40 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
She is survived by her husband Robert Madl of Pittsburg, KS; one son, Ken Madl of Pittsburg, KS; two sister, Marilyn Willis of Omaha, NE, and Mary Ellen Gress of Kentucky; four brothers, James Ewan of Parsons, KS, Bill Ewan of Diamond, MO, Merle Ewan and Richard Ewan both of St Paul, KS; three granddaughters, Kelly Green of Girard, KS, Rebecca VanBecelaere of Pittsburg, KS, and Jessica Madl of Joplin, MO; two great-granddaughters, Addison and Grace VanBecelaere both of Pittsburg, KS; and two great-grandsons, Noah and Hunter Newcomb both of Pittsburg, KS.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Ray Ewan, Leroy Ewan, Charles Ewan, and Milton Ewan; and two sisters, Frances Payton and Patricia Moore.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Brenner Mortuary from 6:30-7:30 PM.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
