(From Clark Funeral Home)Margaret (Margo) M. Johnson was born Feb. 15, 1944 in rural Newton County, Missouri, one of four children to Ray and Ellen Rentfro. She entered into rest on May 29, 2022, in the comfort of her home in rural Granby, at the age of 78.
Margaret was a graduate of Diamond High School. She spent five years as a Navy wife and worked at several federal agencies. She retired from the Joplin social security office.
On June 5, 1965, Margaret and Earl Johnson were united in marriage and he survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Sharon Bergen and husband, Bill of Ponte Verda, Florida and Nancy Lewis of Diamond, Missouri and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Mike Rentfro.
Graveside services are scheduled for Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 1 pm at the Diamond Cemetery, Chaplain Joe Morris will officiate. The family will receive friends at a time of visitation, Wednesday evening from 4 pm – 6 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby, Missouri.
