Farrel Offret

Farrel Arthur Offret, 80, Nevada, MO passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at his home in Nevada. Farrel was born May 20, 1941 in Ogden, UT to Arthur J. and Odetta I. (King) Offret.

Farrel grew up in Utah and graduated from Bountiful High School in Bountiful, UT with the Class of 1959. He worked at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden for 10 years. 

In May of 1973 he moved his family to Vernon County, Missouri to raise cattle. Farrel also worked at Nevada City Hospital/Nevada Regional Medical Center, retiring after 30 years. He also drove a concrete truck, worked as a logger for two years, and raised hogs for a number of years.








Survivors include his eight children, Michael Starnes (Torn), Henderson, NV, Genia Unsworth (Rod), Salem, UT, Tracie Starnes, West Point, UT, Kristie Lycett, Layton, UT, Tamyra Covey (Edwin), Huntington, AR, Laurence “Bud” Lage (Jeanette), Carthage, MO, James Lage, Nevada, Teresa Milliken (Mark), Kansas City, MO; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; sister, Lona Waite, Bear River, WY; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis; parents; two sisters, ReNee Overdon, and Carla Wallace.

Farrel Offret was a loving husband and father. He was a great friend to all who knew him. He was always willing to help his friends and neighbors and developed lifelong friendships. Farrel lived his life to its fullest creating many opportunities and overcoming challenges. We will be Celebrating his Life on June 18, 2022. Additional information will be announced at a later time.
