Beulah Letts

Beulah Mae Letts, 85, of Goodman, Missouri, passed away on July 20, 2026, in Goodman, Missouri.

She was born on October 7, 1940, in Joplin, Missouri, to Jesse and Alice (Motley) Howard. Beulah lived a life marked by kindness, patience, and gentle devotion to those she loved. She carried herself with a loving spirit and was known by family and friends alike as someone who could be counted on for comfort, encouragement, and steady care.






On June 22, 1956, Beulah married the love of her life, Amos Letts, and together they shared many years of marriage until his passing. To this union, four boys and a daughter were born, and Beulah embraced her role as a mother with deep love and unwavering dedication. She was especially devoted to her children and grandchildren, and her family was the center of her world. She faced life with strength and grace, and she gave generously of herself in all seasons of life.

Beulah worked for many years as a cook at Sale Hospital in Neosho, Missouri, where she was appreciated for her skill, dependability, and caring nature. Her ability in the kitchen was well known, and she was an excellent cook who took pride in preparing meals for others. Following retirement, she and her husband opened a day care, where their nurturing spirits continued to shine. Most of her life was spent caring for her son, Michael, a reflection of the deep devotion and selflessness that defined her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Alice Howard; her husband, Amos Letts; her sons, Donnie, Jason, and Michael Letts; and her grandson, Justin Letts. Though these losses were deeply felt, Beulah remained a source of strength for her family and continued to live with faith, love, and quiet courage.

She is survived by her children, Eric Letts of Goodman, Missouri, and Janet Powell of Joplin, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Her family will forever treasure the memories of her kind words, patient heart, and loving ways. She was the kind of woman who made others feel welcome and cared for, and her influence will live on in the lives of those she touched.

Beulah also enjoyed tending to her flowers and garden, where she found peace and satisfaction in caring for the things she nurtured. Her life reflected the same tenderness she showed to her family, and she will always be remembered for her gentle spirit, her loving heart, and the kindness she extended so freely.

Beulah Mae Letts will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Her life was a testament to faithfulness, compassion, and enduring love, and her memory will remain a source of comfort to her family for years to come.

Funeral Service for Beulah will ne held at 3:00 pm on Monday, July 27, 2026 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at this time. Cremation will follow the service and she will be laid to rest in the Banner Cemetery in Goodman, MO at a later date.
