(From Clark Funeral Home)Johnny ‘John’ L. Geller, of Neosho, Missouri, entered into rest surrounded by his devoted family at his home, on July 10, 2026, at the age of 88. John was born on September 19, 1937, in Newtonia, Missouri to Elmer Lee and Eula Marie (Martin) Geller.
On June 30, 1956, in Neosho, John and Juanita (Smith) were united in marriage. They began their lives together, living in Neosho where John operated service stations in both Newtonia and Neosho. In 1958, they moved to Coffeyville, Kansas, where he worked for a dairy, delivering dairy products. In 1962, they moved to Joplin, returned to Neosho for a short time and then to Rogers, Arkansas, where he owned and operated, Rogers Drilling Company.
In 1974, they returned to Neosho permanently and John owned and operated Neosho Drilling Company until his retirement. John never met a stranger and always had a great sense of humor. He loved his family deeply and you could always find him supporting his kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren in their activities. He was a faithful member of the donut shop crew and enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading. John was a devoted and faithful member of the Newtonia Baptist Church where he has served as a deacon since 2005.
John is survived by his loving wife of seventy years, Juanita; two children, Angela Tucker and husband, Scott of Neosho and Rick Geller and wife, Charla of Stella; six grandchildren who loving called him, Papo and pa John, Ashley and Cory Jones, Zak Tucker and Taylor Posey, John Tucker, Keith and Caitlin Geller, Hailey Geller and Megan Jones and husband, Kolbe; great grandchildren, Hayden, Hudsyn, Charley, Payton, Kam, Monroe, Colter, Canyon and Nolan; two brothers, Elmer ‘Huck’ Geller and G.W. ‘Dub’ Geller and one sister, Kay Landers of Pineville.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Dee Carnell and Jim Geller and one sister, Peggy O’Dell.
