(From Lakin Funeral Home)Merry Ellen Allcorn, age 74, of Marionville, MO passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, in Verona, MO. She was born in West Virginia on Friday, May 2, 1952. She was the daughter of Francis J. Brooks.
Merry graduated from Central High School in Springfield, MO. She worked over 25 years at the United States Post Office. She drove a mail route and had connections with many of the families she served. Merry enjoyed flea marketing, going to auctions, and garage sales. She loved antiques and collecting clocks. She liked to travel and cook. She loved Shelties. She will be missed by many!
Surviving are her best friends: Hannah (Gary) Cullum of Marlow, OK and Mike Washam of Aurora, MO. Preceding her in death are her mother, Francis J. Brooks (passed away in 1984) and her dogs, Scooter and Harley.
Merry has been cremated at her request. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
