(From Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home)Russell Andrew Meyer, 57, of Sarcoxie, Missouri passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri from a sudden illness.
Russell was born on April 10, 1969, in Carthage, Missouri to Carlton Russell and Patricia Louise (Cunningham) Meyer. He was a graduate of Sarcoxie High School and was a lifelong area resident. He was currently employed with Digger Specialties, Inc. of Carthage, Missouri. Russell loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed guns and going to stock car races. He will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Russell was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Carlton Russell Meyer and brother Randy William Meyer.
Russell is survived by his sons, Drew Meyer and wife, Latricia of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas and Aaron Meyer and wife, Kristin of Jonesboro, Arkansas; grandchildren, Cailyn Meyer, Claire Meyer, Caroline Meyer, Caris Meyer, Cesley Meyer, Cooper Meyer and Wyonna Meyer; mother, Patricia Louise Meyer, of Sarcoxie, Missouri; siblings; Shannon Dalton of Carthage, Missouri and Stacy Fox and husband, Josh of Columbus, Kansas; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Memorial services for Russell will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, Missouri with Donna Hamilton officiating.
