Zailm Armstrong

(From Bland-Brumback Funeral Home)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Zailm Eugene Armstrong of Stockton, MO. After a brave battle with cancer Zailm finally met his God on July 28, 2026.

Zailm was born July 28, 1973 to Ernest Edward Armstrong and Carol Jean Schlattlann in Apple Valley, California. He attended Missouri State where his freshman year he taught a class called: IDS 110. He was voted “Most Likely to Achieve”. He went on to have a great career in Retail Management with Ashley Furniture in both Nashville, TN and Birmingham, AL.

Zailm’s favorite quote was “It’s hard to be a rock star in a small town”. Zailm took life by the horns. Always up for an adventure and for making new friends wherever he went. He was never one to want to see people sad or upset. He was always sure to make you laugh. His goal was to be the best friend possible.

Zailm is survived by his mother Carol Armstrong and brother Zenas Armstrong of Stockton, MO, sister Phyris Mayfield of Lamar, MO, children Amber Armstrong and Brandon Armstrong, and nephews Brent, Brian, and Kyle Mayfield. He was preceded in death by his father Ernest Armstrong. He also leaves behind many friends whom he loved dearly.
