(From Weng Funeral Chapel)Phyllis Ray Gonzales, 84 of Carthage, Missouri passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026 at St. Luke’s Nursing Center. She was born on Wednesday, September 17, 1941 in Prestonburg, Kentucky to Russell and Marie (Williams) Howell. Phyllis spent many years in retail sales for several different companies.
Survivors include one son, Terry Lee Gonzales (Laura) of Carthage, four brothers, Russell Howell, Estill Howell, James Howell, and Ronald Howell, six sisters, Janie Murphy, Kim Chandler, Lorine McCuddy, Dora Slone, Pat Gonzales, and Carol Haefling, three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, William Dean Gonzales, one brother, William, two sisters, Bonnie and Jarie.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, Missouri.
