(From Ozark Funeral Home)Shai Lesley Peterson, age 20, of Jane, Missouri, passed away on Saturday evening, July 25, 2026, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born on November 3, 2005, in Monett, Missouri, and was raised in Jane, Missouri. Shai was a 2024 graduate of McDonald County High School, and he carried the pride of that accomplishment with him as he began building his future.
Shai was employed as a shift manager at Taco Bell in Jane, Missouri, where he had worked for the last three years. He took pride in his work and was respected for his dedication, reliability, and willingness to help others.
Outside of work, Shai enjoyed spending time with his many friends, listening to music, working on cars, and kayaking. These interests reflected his energetic personality and his appreciation for both quiet moments and shared experiences. He valued friendship deeply and found joy in being surrounded by the people who mattered most to him.

Shai is survived by his mother, Paula Peterson and companion, David, of Jane, Missouri; a sister, Chevelle Peterson of Rocky Comfort, Missouri; half-siblings, Kyler Adams and Kayla Brown; maternal grandmother, Pauline Allen of Jane, Missouri; as well as a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 2-4:00 p.m. at Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri. Arrangements are under the care of Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
