Joyce Vann

Joyce Marie Vann, 87, of Carl Junction, Missouri, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on July 18, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Joyce was born on August 3, 1938, to Wilburn C. and Elsie M. (Cowden) Loggains. On August 23, 1959, she married the love of her life, Johnny Wesley Vann, beginning a beautiful marriage built on faith, friendship, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Together they shared thirty-five wonderful years before Johnny preceded her in death in 1995.






Joyce dedicated her life to loving the Lord, caring for her family, serving others, and creating a home where everyone felt welcome. She found great joy in tending her flower gardens, baking for those she loved, celebrating family traditions, and making ordinary moments feel special. Whether through a handwritten card, a homemade dessert, a prayer faithfully offered, or simply showing up for the people she loved, Joyce quietly impacted countless lives through her kindness, generosity, and steadfast faith.

She was a devoted wife, an extraordinary mother, a treasured grandmother, and a proud great-grandmother. Her greatest joy was found in the people she loved, and her legacy lives on through the generations of family she so faithfully nurtured.

Joyce is survived by her three sons, Jason Vann and wife, Lorna, of Carl Junction, Missouri; Joel Vann and wife, Kim, of Webb City, Missouri; and Jamie Vann and wife, Kate, of Chicago, Illinois.

She also leaves behind five beloved grandchildren: Johnna James and husband, Justin, of Carthage, Missouri; Alyssa Hollingshead of Webb City, Missouri; Jessica Vann of Webb City, Missouri; Daniel Vann of Chicago, Illinois; and Molly Vann of Chicago, Illinois.

She was blessed with one great-grandson, Adrian James, who brought her tremendous joy.

Joyce's family was the greatest joy of her life, and nothing made her happier than seeing generations gathered around the same table.

Joyce is also survived by her beloved sister, Glenda Felts, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her love and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny Wesley Vann; her parents, Wilburn C. and Elsie M. Loggains; and her siblings, Wanda Putnam, Sonny Loggains, and Andy Loggains.

The family finds comfort in knowing that Joyce has been welcomed into the presence of the Savior she faithfully served and joyfully reunited with Johnny, the love of her life. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her example of unwavering faith, unconditional love, quiet generosity, and steadfast devotion will continue to guide and inspire her family for generations to come.

Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and remember Joyce at a funeral service to be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, at Mason-Woodard Mortuary. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, from 6 pm – 7 pm at Mason-Woodard Mortuary. Interment will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery
