Marion Dohmen

Marion Bernadette Dohmen of Monett, died July 7, 2026, surrounded by family.

Born on August 15, 1933, in Eureka, Minnesota, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Malecha and Mary (Valek) Malecha. Marion owned and operated Top Hat Cleaners for many years. She was a member of the American Legion Post #91 Auxiliary in Monett and St. Lawrence Catholic Church, where she was involved with the Parish Council of Catholic Women and other ministries.








On September 1, 1951, she married Albin William Dohmen. To this union, she was blessed with ten children.

She is survived by her 10 children, Diana Dohmen and husband Gary Bockman, Daniel Dohmen and wife Sandra, Tom Dohmen and wife Nancy, Tony Dohmen and wife Patricia, Nick Dohmen and wife Debbie, Frank Dohmen and wife Joni Sue, Luke Dohmen and wife Donna, Albin Dohmen and wife Linda, Martin Dohmen and wife Barbie, and Tina Anderson and husband Greg; and many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her sister, Bernadette Whipkey.








Marion was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Mary (Valek) Malecha, her husband Albin, her brothers Eugene, Raphael, Leonard, and her sister Thersea.

Funeral Mass for Marion will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Monett. Father Paul Pudhota will be officiating. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Rosary will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday with visitation at 5:30 – 7:00 p.m., at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Lawrence Catholic School in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home.
