Bob Anaya

Robert “Bob” Anaya, 69, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, July 4th, 2026, at his residence.

He was born April 19, 1957, in Los Angeles, California.

He worked at Smith Floors in Joplin Missouri and was a self-contractor doing floors. He loved collecting old hot rod cars, Harley Davidsons and his love for his family love brought him home to Joplin, Missouri to raise his two daughters. He loved to ride his Harley and good trip to Sturgis. You could always find Robert laying floors or with his girls (A family of most girls) in his late life he enjoyed the quiet of Seneca, in his beloved cabins.








He is survived by his daughter; Alicia Hillman of Joplin, Missouri, his son; Antonio Sherrell, his grandchildren; Desirae Anaya, Belin Jackson, Andrew Hillman, Ariana Sherrell, Avery Koehler, Terin Koehler, Cruz Cope, Ace Robert Cope, and Bentley Cope; and many great-grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death his mother; Irene Anaya, father; Robert Sherrill, brother; Antonio Anaya, beloved daughters; Charline Anaya, and Felicia Anaya and nephew; Gilbert Talamontez.








Memorial Services will be conducted on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the Royal Heights Methodist Church, located at 1612 Euclid Ave., Joplin, Missouri, with Pastor Steve Thomas officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery and Crematory in Joplin, Missouri.

Floral arrangements may be delivered beginning at 9:00 am at Royal Heights Methodist Church.
