Renee Lee Simpson, age 56, was born on May 5, 1970, in Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on June 26, 2026, in Joplin, Missouri.

One of Renee’s greatest joys was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She cherished every opportunity to be with them and took great pride in watching her family grow. Her love for her kids and grandkids was deep and unwavering, and she treasured the memories they created together.

Renee was a great sister. She valued the bond of family and carried that role with love and dedication. Her siblings could always count on her for support, honesty, and compassion. She was someone who stood beside her family through life’s joys and challenges, and her loyalty was a defining part of who she was.

She is survived by her children; Roy Day, Becky Day, Natasha Day, Ashley Wesley, and Richard Simpson, Jr. (Amelia); grandchildren, Richard Simpson, II, Kiann Day, Kilee Day, Richard Simpson III, Ava Farris, C.J. Farris, Ella Farris, Lily Day, Justin Day, and Theodore Simpson; siblings, Georgetta Stewart, Darrell Chamberlain, Debbie Maynard, and Mark Day.

Renee is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Day and Loretta (Light) Day; and beloved husband, Richard Simpson.

A funeral service is planned for Friday, July 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel in Joplin, MO. The family invites friends out for a time of visitation prior to the service at 9:00 a.m. at the mortuary.
