Robert Laughlin

Robert W. Laughlin was born on October 21, 1937, in East Liverpool, Ohio, the son of Frank and Mary (Campbell) Laughlin. He entered into rest at his home in Stark City, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 88. 

Robert served his country as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army. He served as a deputy sheriff in Hancock, West Virginia, and was a farmer and a heavy equipment operator. 








Robert and Constance ‘Connie’ J. Evans were married on January 11, 1960, in Newell, West Virginia and Connie survives. 

In addition to his wife of 66 years, he is survived by five children, Andrew Laughlin of Goodman, Missouri, Todd W. Laughlin and wife, Dorri of Stark City, Missouri, Cassandra Laughlin of Stella, Missouri, Janet Mittag and husband, Kevin of Granby, Missouri and Susan Arnott of Wellsville, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren and one brother, James Laughlin and wife, Donna of Hookstown, Pennsylvania. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, William A. Laughlin and Charles Laughlin. 








Robert was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing checkers with his granddaughters, reading and doing puzzles. He loved farming, baling hay and working on his lawn. He was an excellent and loving husband, father and grandfather. Robert was a member of the Promiseland Fellowship Church in Granby.
