(From Parker Mortuary)Frank Joseph Fogg, 77, of Joplin, passed away on June 27, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Mo. He was born in Joplin on August 7, 1948.
Frank built a career in electronics repair, where his practical skills and patient nature served him well. He had a gift for understanding how things worked and took pride in fixing what others could not. He was someone people could count on, whether they needed a repair, a word of advice, or simply a good laugh. Frank also served his country in the Marines.
Before settling into later years, Frank lived a life full of adventure and grit. He professionally rode bulls and bareback broncs, a testament to his fearless nature and love of the rodeo world. After retiring from riding, he continued his involvement by judging events, remaining connected to the sport that had been such an important part of his life.
He loved hunting and sports, and he enjoyed telling jokes that could lighten any room. He loved animals, especially dogs and horses.
Frank coached his sons’ baseball and soccer teams, where he shared not only his knowledge of the games but also his encouragement, patience, and support. In addition, he served as a scout master, helping guide and shape the lives of boys under his leadership. His influence in these roles extended far beyond the field or the troop, as he helped instill confidence, responsibility, and character in those he mentored.
His memory will remain a source of comfort and pride to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
