(From Konantz Warden Funeral Home)William Eugene Alexander, born on August 6, 1960, in Springfield, Missouri, passed away on Sunday July 5, 2026.
William was the son of Orville Eugene Alexander and Ruthetta Emaline (Wharton) Alexander. He dedicated his working life to caring for others as a caregiver in the health care field. His compassion, patience, and commitment to helping those in need reflected the kind of person he was.
William also honorably served his country in the United States Army, demonstrating a spirit of service that continued throughout his life.
William was raised in Atwater, CA. After his enlistment he made his home near Pittsburg, Kansas, where he was known as a dependable and caring individual. William will be remembered for his willingness to help others, his quiet strength, and the lasting impact he had on those who knew him.
He was very proud of his children and grandchildren. They were the purpose in his life and he loved them for their uniqueness just as they were. He was very crafty, making native American jewelry, spoon rings, medicine shields and other items.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Vivian Crisp, and brother Harley Alexander.
He is survived by son Jake (Crystal) Alexander of Pittsburg, KS; daughter Serina Middaugh of Webb City, MO; brothers Jerry King of Washington, Gene Alexander of Pittsburg, KS; sisters Melody Alexander of Minnesota, Melinda Alexander of Pittsburg, KS, and Mary McCaulley of Joplin, MO. He is also survived by his favorite people, his grandchildren Angel, Brianna, and Connor.
His memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and all whose lives were enriched by his kindness and service.
Funeral and memorial service arrangements will be announced by the family at a later date.
