(From Buchanan Funeral Home)Robert William Stribling, age 94 of Monett, MO was peacefully called to join his savior in heaven on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
Robert was born on July 2, 1932, the son of Columbus “Fred” and Katherine Stribling of Pierce City, MO, where he graduated high school. After meeting the love of his life, he moved to Monett, MO and lived a life defined by love while raising a family with his loving wife of 71 years, and as the father of four children. He was a hard-working life-long farmer who served in the National Guard, was successful with real estate investments, as well as various other jobs. He also worked and retired from Schreiber Foods.
Robert is survived by his son, Bill Stribling, and wife Joyce of Webb City, MO; daughter, Joyce Cartwright, and husband Roy of Green Bay, WI; daughter, Mary Mayfield and husband, Larry of Ozark, MO; three grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
Robert is preceded in death, and joyously reunited with, his wife, Mary Evelyn (Sperandio) Stribling; son, Robert E. Stribling; grandson, Justin Stribling; his parents, one brother, Charles Stribling; one sister, Barbara Anderson; three half-brothers, Earl, Clarence, and Elmer Stribling; and one half-sister, Lanna.
A graveside service for Robert will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the Spring River Cemetery (aka Shady Grove Cemetery) in Verona, MO, with Pastor Charles Bahn officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorial contributions be made to your favorite charity or cause. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett, MO.
