(From Simpson Funeral Home)We gather here to celebrate the life of Jhonnie ”Faye” Lasiter, a compassionate and dedicated woman, who filled the hearts of all who knew her with love and warmth. Born Jhonnie Faye Clemons on September 17, 1954, in Jackson, MS, she was a beacon of kindness and generosity. Jhonnie Faye was a proud and loving daughter to her parents, Clifford Clemons and Myrtle White, who preceded her in death.
Jhonnie Faye spent her life in service to others, embodying the words of Maya Angelou, who said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." As a Nurses Aide in a nursing home for over three decades, she delivered care with a gentleness and dedication that never wavered. Even after her retirement in 2022, Jhonnie Faye remained a generous soul known for her crochet work, lively bingo games, and fun-filled bunco nights. These hobbies were but an extension of her loving spirit that always put family at the center of her world.
Her residence in Webb City, Missouri was not just a house, but a home filled with love and laughter where she lived for 30 years. She was a wonderful person, and the best wife, married since August 26, 1972. Jhonnie Faye's life was marked by love given and received, and the memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. Her passing on July 13, 2026, is not an end, but the beginning of an everlasting legacy of love, compassion, and dedication.
Preceding Faye in death were her Father and Mother, and her sister Ceceila Joyce Stagen of Reno, Nevada.
Surviving Faye are her Husband, Finis Richard Lasiter of Webb City, her sister Sue Fuller of Ely, Nevada, brother Clifford Leon Clemons of Apple Valley, California and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Friday July 17, 6 pm at Simpson Funeral Home of Webb City.
