(From Ulmer Funeral Home)
January 10, 1950 - September 16, 2026To all our friends and family want to let everyone know that our father Donnie Allen Bettes has left this earth this morning September 16th at 12:08 am and not be hurting anymore. For the last year he has been alive but truly not living any kind of life.
He was preceded in death by his father Freddie Eugene Bettes and his mother Helen Marie (Bryant)Bettes.
He is survived by his wife for the last 42 years Kathy Bettes; his daughter Becky and Dan DeWitt, his son Tim and Shannon Bettes, his daughter Carrie and Larry Houston, and daughter Tammi Dawn Bettes; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He will be cremated and celebration of life at a later time.
If you knew Don, you knew he was involved with agriculture all his life. He started out in his younger years milking cows, then he became a farrier and raising, trading and eventually training horses.
May you now Rest in Peace dad.....

If you knew Don, you knew he was involved with agriculture all his life. He started out in his younger years milking cows, then he became a farrier and raising, trading and eventually training horses.
In 1994 he expanded his horses to raising cattle dogs and over the next 13 years he and his daughters raised several different breeds of their favorite dogs.
In 2007 he and his son-in-law Dan built D&D Kennel Buildings and Supplies which was also a family business. Don also loved being on the go traveling. Cruising became one of his favorite things later in life.
May you now Rest in Peace dad.....
