(From Parker Mortuary)With profound love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Wiley Boone Parker, born into this world and carried to the next on August 26, 2026. As the poet Kahlil Gibran said, "When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight." Wiley was indeed our delight, the much-anticipated bundle of joy born in Chicago, IL, a miracle whose life was brief but deeply impactful.
Wiley, a beacon of love, was the cherished son of Sean Parker and Scarlett Settle. Although he never had the chance to meet his family, he was enveloped by their love and anticipation.
He leaves behind a circle of love, including his adoring sister, Rebel Parker; his loving grandparents Genny and Harold Alderman, Robert Settle, Brandi and JP Yeager; his aunts, Emily Garner and Angel Parker; his uncles, Christian Goodwin, Ethan Settle, and Anthony Osburn; and his cousin, Marney Garner.
Wiley was a blessing, a symbol of love and unity, who brought the family even closer. In the words of E.E. Cummings, "I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart)."
Wiley's brief life is etched in the hearts of his family, and his memory will forever be a part of their lives. His family will remember him with love and longing, cherishing the joy and anticipation his arrival brought. Wiley was a beloved baby, the epitome of innocence and purity, who will forever know only love and peace.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary in Joplin, Missouri.
Arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, Missouri.
