Charles ‘C.A.’ Lucas, 83, Neosho, died December 27, 2015 at Freeman Neosho Hospital, following failing health.
C. A. was born Feb. 12, 1932 in Newtonia, Missouri, the son of Firman and Ella (Parmley) Lucas. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a lifelong area resident. He retired from Sunbeam Leisure Products in 1997 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching western and war movies, he was an animal lover and an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was a member of the Neosho United Methodist Church.
C. A. married Edna Rose Lucas on Nov. 2, 1956 in Neosho and she preceded him in death on Sept. 26, 2015. He is survived by a daughter, Melody Wilson and husband, Kevin and a son, Steven Lucas, all of Neosho; two grandsons, Sean Wilson and Patrick Wilson and wife, Crystal of Neosho and three great grandchildren, Lucas Wilson, Aria Wilson and Freya Wilson.
