Margaret Ruth “Maggie” Weldy, 74, passed away at her home December 14, 2015,
Maggie was born in Coal Hill, Arkansas to Lloyd and Louise “Karr” Frazier June 12, 1941. Maggie was a homemaker and a lifetime Jasper resident. She,along with her husband Jerry, owned and operated Weldy Farms of Jasper, MO for 44 years. Maggie was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jasper, she also served as a delegate for the Republican Party.
Maggie was united in marriage to Jerry Weldy December 22, 1960 in Miami, OK, he survives. Maggie is survived by two daughters Marni Smith of Joplin, MO and Sharon Weldy of Jasper, MO. Two sisters Charlotte Chilcutt of Edmond, OK, and Cathy Bittick of Greenbrier, AR, one sister-in-law Betty Burfield of Baldwin, MO. Three granddaughter Kylie Pugh, Tayler Weldy and Devinn Weldy, two great granddaughters Jaylynn Pugh and Colbie Lynn McIlvaine, and several nieces and nephews. Maggie is preceded by her parents, one son George Lynn Weldy February 15, 2006. Two brothers Jim Frazier and one brother in infancy.
Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday December 19, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church of Jasper, Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday December 18, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church of Jasper. Burial will be at Hackney Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Jasper or Hackney Cemetery in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
