Kimberly Anne Scacewater, age 25 of Siloam Springs, AR, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015 in Springdale, AR.
Born and raised in Joplin, MO, she graduated from Joplin High School in 2009 and attended Crowder College in Neosho, MO for two years. She was baptized and grew up in Calvary Baptist Church in Joplin, where she was a member, and attended First Christian Church in Siloam Springs. Kimberly was quiet, sweet, compassionate and caring and cherished her family. She enjoyed her dog and delighted in writing poems and songs.
Survivors include her father, Dr. Rick Scacewater and wife Debbie of Joplin; her mother, Melanie Scacewater and companion Greg Elliott of Siloam Springs; two brothers, Mark Scacewater of Tampa, FL, Todd Scacewater and wife Dezi of Philadelphia, PA; step sister, Lindsay Davitt and husband Chris of Tampa; paternal grandmother, Marilyn Scacewater of Siloam Springs; maternal grandmother, Gloria McLemore of Fayetteville, AR; nieces and nephews, Noah Scacewater, Hayden and Lila Davitt; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church, 600 E. 50th Street in Joplin, with Rev. Tim Sumners officiating. Private interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs with family members serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Parker Mortuary in Joplin. Memorial contributions may be made to Watered Gardens or Calvary Baptist Church, both in Joplin.
