Dorthy G. Rundle, age 86, of Carterville, Missouri passed away on Christmas Day, December 25, 2015 following a lengthy illness.
She was born October 12, 1929 in Salem, Missouri to James and Sylvia Petty.
Dorthy worked for Elders Shirt Factory, Big Smith Manufacturing and was a homemaker.
She married Alonzo Rundle on July 22, 1949 in Bentonville, Arkansas and he survives of the home. She is also survived by two sons; Howard Rundle and Lenis Rundle, two daughters; Barbara Davenport and Beverly Proffit, 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and 2 half-sisters; Sarah Coleman and Donna Edgil.
Dorthy was preceded in death by her parents, three sons; Alonzo Leo Rundle, Donnie Rundle and Ivan Rundle, two daughters; Debrah Rundle and Iva Rundle, two brothers; James Lee Petty and Johnny Petty, four sisters; Lorene Stroupe, Clara Sanders, Pauline Fox and Alice Vasquez and a half-sister, Mary Smith.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Webb City Cemetery with Pastor Morris Cleveland officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home.
Those gentlemen honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are; Dakota Jeffery, Nathan Davenport, Dale Davenport, Mike Soard, Michael McQuade, and Brandon Proffit.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home, Webb City, Missouri.
