Lottie Lee (Fannie) Rainey, age 87 of Joplin, passed away at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Joplin Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born September 25, 1928 in Carthage, MO, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Asbell Sweeney and lived in the area her lifetime. She was a homemaker.
On September 21, 1946, she married John Thomas Rainey in Columbus, KS. He preceded her in death on July 25, 2015.
Survivors include two sons, John L. Rainey and wife Carolyn, Joseph L. Rainey and wife Nancy, all of Joplin; a daughter, Jane Rainey of Joplin; a brother, John Wayne Swager of Smithfield, MO; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
