Maree Leilani Silvers, age 84, of Monett, MO, passed away peacefully at Lacoba Homes on Saturday, December 5, 2015, following a lengthy illness.
Leilani was born August 17, 1931 in Hilo, Hawaii, daughter of the late Mark and Maree (Berry) Hamblin. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and homemaker. Leilani was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Monett and an avid artist, especially drawing.
Leilani is survived by three sons, Jacob Silvers and wife Elena, of Monett, Thomas Silvers, of Anderson, MO and David Silvers, of Monett; six daughters, Marilyn Barnes and husband Tom, of Springfield, MO, Wanda Mahana, of Monett, Sallie Pryor and husband Kenny, of Monett, Lucinda Watson, of Monett, Anna Otto and husband Tom, of Columbia, MO and Rebecca Silvers, of Monett; one brother, Markay Hamblin, of Tulsa, OK; one sister, Joycell Cooper, of Joplin, MO; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Leilani was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Valerie Cunningham; and one sister, Jennie Larson.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 10. 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Monett. Viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Memorial contributions have been requested to the church in care of the funeral home.
