Wilma Lee Robinett, 81, of Sarcoxie, Missouri departed this life on Monday, December 21, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Wilma entered this life on December 1, 1934 in Battlefield, Missouri to the union of the late Milford and Nannie Mae (Salkil) Clifton. She grew up in the Battlefield and Republic, Missouri area and was a graduate of Republic High School. On March 25, 1954 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Lavern Robinett at Sarcoxie, Missouri. She enjoyed embroidering, crocheting, reading and cooking as well as spending time with her family and friends. Wilma was also known by many as “Bill”.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, George Robinett; one brother, Ira Clifton and one sister, Wanda Owens.
Wilma is survived by her daughter, Lori Salyer and husband Richard of Sarcoxie, Missouri; two grandsons, Andy Kessinger and wife Cassie and Ed Salyer and wife Destinee, all of Sarcoxie, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Maxx Salyer and Jackson Kessinger; several nephews and nieces as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Wilma are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home, Sarcoxie, Missouri with Pastor Wayne Rose officiating. Burial to follow in Sarcoxie Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Richard Salyer, Ed Salyer, Andy Kessinger, Leigh Salyer, Jim Salyer and Chris Salyer. In lieu of flowers the family has directed contributions be made to Spare Cat Rescue and may be left with the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home, Sarcoxie, Missouri.
