Billie Fuller

Mr. Billie Bert Fuller, 84, of Sarcoxie, Missouri departed this life on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the Galena Nursing Center, Galena, Kansas.

Billie entered this life on October 26, 1931 in McCune, Kansas to the union of the late Bert and Georgia (Wilborn) Fuller. As a child he and his family moved to Iowa. He was united in marriage to Verna Mae McGatchy, she preceded him in death September of 1998. On February 27, 1952 he enlisted in the United States Army. He proudly served during the Korean War, returning home on February 6, 1954. He and his family moved to Sarcoxie, Missouri in 1957. For years he worked for Joplin Auto Auction and later retired as service manager for Kenny Neal Ford of Sarcoxie, Missouri. He was a volunteer fireman and fire Chief for the City of Sarcoxie, a former city council member, a member of the Lions Club as well as the masonic lodge, and also a past member of the Sarcoxie Cemetery board, serving many years. He devoted many hours as a hospice volunteer and was also a private pilot. Billie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sarcoxie, Missouri.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two grandsons; one brother and two sisters.

Billie is survived by two sons, David Fuller and his wife Sheri of Galena, Kansas and Tony Fuller and his wife Judith Ann of Des Moines, Iowa; grandchildren, Robby Prohaska and wife Amanda, Abagail Sampson and husband John, Makayla Fuller and Forest Fuller; and six great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services with full military honors for Mr. Fuller are 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2015 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home, Sarcoxie, Missouri with Will Meyer officiating. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial to follow in Sarcoxie Cemetery. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Forest Fuller, Lloyd Coy, Makayla Fuller, Robby Prohasha, Larry Miller and Tony Fuller.
