Mary Helen Quade, 76, Carthage, MO, passed away Monday afternoon, December 21, 2015 at her home after a lengthy illness. Mary Helen Wooten was born December 28, 1938 in New Hope, MO to the late James Milton Wooten and Rosie Jewel Lauderdale. Helen was a graduate of Wheaton High School Class of 1956. She worked for Oxford Healthcare and was a member of Center Point Christian Church. She married Art Quade on November 17, 1999; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sisters; Ann Henson (husband Don), Shell Knob, MO, Pat Thomas, Carthage, MO, Janice Bagby, Carthage, MO, and Irene Day (husband Dewayne), Exeter, MO; three brothers; Dale Wooten, Hillsboro, MO, Glen Wooten (wife Sherrie), Carthage, MO, and Kenny Wooten (wife Sue), Ironton, MO; and her special friends; Karla Kahl, Lacey and Lane, Avilla, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Loren Dean Sanders, one sister, Azlea Levy, and three brothers, James Lee Wooten, Don Wooten, and Carroll Wooten.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Sunday, December 27, 2015 in the Knell Mortuary Chapel. Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, December 28, 2015 in the Knell Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Bob Teegarden will officiate. Interment will follow in Fasken Cemetery, northeast of Carthage. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Arthritis Foundation in care of Knell Mortuary, 308 W. Chestnut, Carthage, MO 64836.
