Ruby Fern Eubanks went home to be with her Lord at 3:30 A.M., at Lacoba Homes, on Friday, December 18, 2015, following a long illness.
She was born on February 11, 1929, in Calico Rock, Arkansas, to Zelf and Mabel Lawrence. Ruby married Herbert Vernon Eubanks on December 17, 1954, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Monett. To this union, they were blessed with three children. Herbert preceded her in death in 1980.
Ruby was active in church activities for many years and her favorite job was working in labor and delivery at St Vincent's Hospital.
Ruby is survived by her son, Ray Eubanks and wife Jan, Monett; her daughters, Brenda Eckenroth and husband Jim, Joplin, and Mary Blinzler and husband Luke, Monett. She also leaves two sisters, Robbie Cox, Joplin, and Betty Montie, Columbia; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Badger, and one brother-in-law, Charles Cox, both of Monett. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Jeff Freeman and wife Gretchen, Joplin, Matt Willis Blinzler and wife Jen, Independence, MO, Chad Freeman and wife Tia, Bonita Springs, FL, Katie Crawford and husband Greg, Soldotna, AK, Kristen Dutschmann and husband Christopher, Waco, TX, and Chris Eubanks and wife Sierra, Monett; and seven great-grandchildren, Jacob and Hunter Freeman, Macey and Isaac Crawford, Lydia Blinzler, Autumn Dutschmann, and Cheyne Freeman. She was preceded in death by one sister, Jean Cox. Ruby loved her family greatly, and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services for Mrs. Eubanks will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2015 at Buchanan Funeral Home. Dr. Bill Cox will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will be at the Monett I.O.O.F. Cemetery following the service. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
