Mr. Franklin Darra, 48, of Rogers, Arkansas, departed this life on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas.
Franklin entered this life on November 9, 1967, in Pingelap, Micronesia, son of the late Melo Darra and Melihna (Yens) Manasa. He was raised and attended school in Micronesia. In 1986 he moved to Hawaii, where he worked as a commercial fisherman and chef. After moving to Missouri, he was employed by La-Z-Boy in Neosho.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sihada Darra on August 22, 2011; a sister, Iohne Kenneth; and a brother, Pelson Charley.
Franklin is survived by one daughter, Franica Darra of the state of Texas; five siblings, Melson Darra of Omaha, Nebraska, Nahzer Yens of Pohnpei, Micronesia, Esi Obed, Dahwa Manuel of Neosho, Missouri and Mely Hendy of Rogers, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2015, at the Howard Cemetery in Goodman, Missouri. Under the direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
