Kirk Eric Pugh, 63, of Carthage passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Kirk was born April 4, 1952 in Independence, KS. He was the son of Herman Marion Pugh and Doris Veronica “Mangan” Pugh. Kirk was a lifetime Carthage resident. He worked at Atlas Powder Company for several years, retiring in the late 80’s. Kirk enjoyed auctions, was an avid casino attender, loved bowling for 25 years in various leagues and tournaments. Kirk was a generous, giving person with a big heart by those that knew him.
Kirk was formerly married to Emma Lou.
Kirk is survived by his mother, Doris Pugh of Carthage, three daughters; Jennifer Gomez (Monie) of El Dorado, Kansas, Julie Fowler(Shea) and Jill Armijo (Nick) of El Dorado, Kansas, 4 brothers; Tony Pugh, Victor Pugh, Tonk Pugh (Cheryl) and Kris Pugh all of Carthage, MO, 10 grandchildren Shelby, Mandy, Lauren, Kaden, Hunter, Kooper, Rayann, Sydney, Ashlynn and Gage, one great grandson, Grady and one great granddaughter on the way. Kirk was preceded in death by his father, Herman Pugh and one nephew, Peter Pugh.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday December 11, 2015 at the Ulmer Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Park Cemetery.
