Kathy Lynne Casey, age 60, Joplin, passed away at 4:38 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Mercy Hospital after an illness.
Kathy was born August 15, 1955 in Carthage, Missouri to the late Gene Skelton and Wilma Lee Skelton and had lived in Joplin most of her life.
She worked as a C.N.A. at the Seneca House Nursing Home and had worked as a respiratory therapist at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas.
Kathy married Kenneth H. Casey on February 1, 1986. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2008.
Additional survivors include a son, Charles R. 'Bud' Chrisman, Joplin; a daughter, Stacy Taylor and her husband, James Jr., Wyandotte, Oklahoma; two sisters, Marsha Summers and her husband, Benny, Brenda Danner and her husband, Allen; one brother, Eugene Skelton and his wife, Pennie, Seneca; and grandchildren, Sasha Chesley, Dakotah Taylor, Justin Chrisman, Casey Vanstory, Ukiah Camp, Cutter Burkham, Gage Smith, Landon Smith; and great grandchildren, Colton, Trent, Logan, Marley, Navi Lynne, Elias, Tavyn and Zane.
A celebration visitation is planned for Saturday from 7-8:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 6241 Spurgeon Road, Joplin.
Memorial contributions may be made to Parker Mortuary to help pay for funeral costs.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
