Wayne Bauder

Wayne Franklin Bauder, age 60, Joplin, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at his home after a sudden illness.

Wayne was born November 30, 1959 in Sedan, Kansas, son of the late Bennie and Audra Bauder. He grew up in Elk Falls, Kansas, graduating from West Elk High School in 1977. He then attended Coffeyville Junior College. 

He moved to Joplin in 1981, and worked for Montgomery Ward in the automotive department. He later opened Joplin Bike and Fitness on Main Street which he enjoyed operating for several years. Most recently he was working for Roper Honda in the Parts Department. 








He was very active with the youth department at North Joplin Christian Church for years, and most recently had been attending Forest Park Baptist Church. He enjoyed his time taking the youth to concerts, and getting to know them. He loved riding his bikes, both pedal powered and motorcycles. He also had a passion for model airplanes.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Diana Bauder; son, Benjamin Bauder (Carly Moskalski) of Joplin; daughter, Angela Henning (Brandon) of Duenweg, Missouri; grandchildren, Riley, Audra, Alaina, and Scarlett.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. in the Parker Mortuary Chapel with family and friends sharing. The family will visit with friends following the service at the funeral home.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
