(From Parker Mortuary)Mrs. Linda Susan Strausbaugh, 70, of Carl Junction, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, November 26, 2020, while at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
Linda entered this life on June 11, 1950, in Joplin, Missouri, daughter of the late William and Rosey (Watson) Coble. She was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Joplin Senior High School in 1968 and MSSC where she received an Associate’s Degree in Accounting.
On June 23, 1973, she was united in marriage to Thomas Anthony Strausbaugh and to this union three children were born, Tamara, Thomas and Steven. In 1982, she began her career with the US Postal Service, retiring in 2013 as a rural mail carrier. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was always lending a hand to those in need. She was a longtime member of Community of Christ Church in Joplin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Anthony Strausbaugh on July 20, 2011; a brother, Bob Coble; and a sister in-law, Georgie Coble.
Linda is survived by her three children, Tamara Strausbaugh of Carl Junction, Thomas Strausbaugh of Joplin and Steven Strausbaugh of Carl Junction; seven grandchildren, Bailey, Kaden, Parker, Mykah, Kaybree, James and Emma; one great granddaughter, Everleigh; a brother, Bill Coble and wife, Herberta, of Galena, Kansas; two sisters, Janice Coble of Carl Junction and Joyce Coble of Webb City; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2020 at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with Minister Alan Dykens officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parker Mortuary.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, Missouri.
