Nadine Horner

Nadine Horner, 88, of Bradleyville.

Nadine departed this life to move to her heavenly home on December 6, 2020. She was born on December 27, 1931 to Emery E. and Rosie G. (Combs) Parrill in in Carthage, MO. 

She married Joe Horner on November 8, 1951 in Winnemucca, Nevada. Joe and Nadine spent several years in the western states of Idaho, Oregon, and Washington before returning to Missouri. 








Nadine worked various jobs in her lifetime including farm fields, school custodian, house cleaning, and cooked for Bradleyville schools. To this marriage four sons were born: Ricky Lee, Randy Wayne, Jackie Leon, and Kelly Joe.

Nadine was quite talented with a needle and thread, and crocheting. She made an untold number of afghans, quilts, baby quilts, kitchen towels, potholders, and toys for children. Many folks have been blessed with her gifts of love that she so enjoyed making and sharing.

Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, Emery and Rosie; her husband Joe; son Ricky Lee and daughter-in-law Judi; sister Juanita F. Maggard; and brothers Ellis, Lloyd, Etcyl, and Howard Parrill.

Survivors include sons Randy of Longview, Jack and Kelly of Bradleyville; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Mary Lou Ingenthron and husband Danny of Forsyth; brother-in-law Ted and wife Nadine Horner of Forsyth; sisters-in-law Ruby Parrill and LaVonna Parrill of Washington State; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Nadine attended Bradleyville General Baptist Church when her health permitted. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with all her heart. While at the care center she loved having her Bible read to her and coloring.

The family would love to say thanks to all friends, family and the staff at Forsyth Nursing and Rehab that showed care, love, and kindness to Nadine during some difficult years. She loved all of you with all her heart.
