Bill Harris

William Franklin Harris, Neosho, departed this earthly plane, Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the age of 82. Bill was born May 26, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois and worked with his families grocery store business. Following his high school graduation, 

Bill left to attend Columbia Bible College in Columbia, South Carolina, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology. He worked for the Overseas Missionary Fellowship for 20 years, serving as pastor to churches in Malaysia and Singapore and was fluent in the Malay and Tamil languages. He earned his Master’s degree in counselling at Gordon Conwell and served as a pastor in Kingston Baptist Church, Kingston, Massachusetts. 








In 1995, he relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma to begin a career as a substance abuse counselor. 

In 2003, he met his wife LaTricia Crawford and they were married on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bill was an avid reader and chess player and he enjoyed studying U.S. History. 

In addition to his wife, LaTricia of the home, Bill is survived by his three children, Shelly (Gene) Thomas, Andrew Harris and Stephen Harris; LaTricia’s children, Jim (Ashley) Crawford of Wyandotte, Oklahoma and Casey (Steve) Schnackenberg of Neosho; grandchildren, Kevin Burns, Charlie, Olivia, Rose and Ivy Harris, Grace Thomas, Chelsea (Nathan) Scribner, Ashley Weems, James, Jake, John and Wyatt Crawford and two siblings, Eleanor Williamson and Jim Harris. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Grace Child and granddaughter, Alexys Crawford.
